Ton Felices (Barcelona, 2002) is a rising double bass player based in Amsterdam who has already accumulated an extensive and diverse career.


He has been performing internationally since he was 15 joining bands in Barcelona like Sant Andreu Jazz Band or JONC -National Orchestra of Catalunya- until he moved to Amsterdam in 2020. Soon after, life in Amsterdam brought him the possibility to join plenty of local bands and collaborate with wonderful artists in the scene. Some highlights are joining Ben van Gelder in several trio and quartet concerts -featuring Gilad Hekselman-, playing with Xavi Torres trio in many occasions -featuring Miguel Zenón-, touring with Rita Payés, recording with Jorge Rossy and Marçal Perramon and recording Ella Zirina’s new album featuring Jamie Peet. He leads his own band "Ton Felices Electronic Quartet" blending jazz and electronics and performing repeatedly in Spain and The Netherlands.

Ton is a fixture in Amsterdam's creative music scene. His versatility and melodic and virtuosic approach to the bass allow him to play frequently in a wide variety of contexts. He has performed extensively in The Netherlands as well as internationally in France, USA, Morocco, Spain, Latvia, Cuba, Poland, Germany, Italy etc. He is the winner of Prinses Christina Concours 2021, Juventudes Musicales de España 2022 and awarded Best Amsterdam Soloist of the Keep An Eye International Jazz Competition 2024
